Although he is a “Sangokuden Gaiden” With all those armor he stands just as tall as any regular Sangokuden model kit! If you’re gona get picky with Sangokuden Gaiden, pick this monster up. =)

Spy mode :

The helmet has different forms for each mode. In this mode , Kyou-I can either be a Gundam or dons the Zaku mask to be…. Uh a Zaku. His main weapon is the spear. Spearhead can be unattached to become a Sai(dagger). In this mode he wears the shield and shoulder armor on his shoulders.

Gundam mode

In this mode , he wears the chest armor , helmet puts on the “V-fins” , carries the backpack with his 2 axes. Shield on hand. Doesn’t wear any shoulder armor. The axe can be either stored on the backpack when not in use. Axes can also become flaming swords. When attached to the backpack the axes can become flamethrowers.

Weapons and armor

Weapons and armor can also merge to form some sort of small dragon.

A must get kit. There are some tiny flaws though, like the back of the model kit where you can see the face of the Zaku. The merged form is really flimsy, it doesn’t hold on together that well. But overall it’s a nice kit, the weapons itself already have a high playability with lots of modes. I also like how the Zaku and Dom look so different although they are the same model!

For people finding kits in scale with Sangokuden kits(I think Sengokuden kits will come in different sizes).

Overall , I like this kit. The results of painting such a hellish model results in 200% satisfaction at the end. Not forgetting the crazy amount of accessories he comes with! He is like a walking tank , armored back and front! LOL

I think this is quite a nice model to pick up. He has elbow joints that regular sangokuden model kits doesn’t have. He is actually bigger then previously released Sangokuden Gaiden Ryuuho gundam in both armored and unarmored modes , but still smaller then your normal sangokuden kits. The foot armor does give him some extra height making him almost as tall as your regular kits. As usual , Sangokuden Gaiden model kits are cute and fun to pose with other kits.

Wings at the back are swords that can form a shuriken. She can switch faces. Her hair can move around as they’re on ball joints. New waist design that allows the top part of her bend up . But she can’t turn 360 degrees at the waist. Elephant can become armor suit for her.

Elephant

Can transform into tank mode , the tusk can become swords for either of its owners. Elephant also becomes battle suit for both Shukuyuu and Moukaku Gundam .

Apparently Moukaku Gundam is given a slim and slick design instead of heavy armor for he is a kungfu master LOL . For the same price as Ryofu , this kit loses out a lot on gimmicks. Not impressed by the “common gundam colors” I don’t really like the new design for Shukuyuu Gundam . However Moukaku Gundam still look awesome.

BB Senshi Sangokuden Koumei Nu/Hi-Nu gundam Review

This guy has shit lots of gimmicks! Part of the stand can perform "shooting" effects for the sword on the left arm and a funnel flying effect. The base of the stand can merge with the model itself. One of the really cool things is the shoulder shields that store the dragon claws. You can flap out the claws as additional weapons. Like the sou-hi model, his backpack can hold both his swords, which I think is a really nice touch. Oh and not forgetting the new shoulder amour design I thought was quite good, looks more sturdy then previous models. I shall describe his different modes and components.

Koumei Nu

His basic armored mode would be the Nu gundam, pretty neat. He has the funnels thingy, 2 swords! And shields on each side of his shoulders! Plus he has an additional chest piece for a full amour mode.

Koumei Hi-Nu

Koumei becomes Hi-Nu gundam when he merge with his bird companion, makes him look way cooler then he already is. The bird gives him extra wings (funnels) and thrusters.

Dragon mode 1

This is the mode I hate the most, don't know why Bandai has it as an official mode. Koumei Nu transforms to a dragon. It’s basically just half a dragon with only 2 feet!

Bird

Yeah a bird which is really big. He has pretty good articulation on the feet, wings and head.

Dragon mode 2

And finally the best mode of em all, the REAL dragon mode! LOL. Bird and dragon mode 1 merge into this huge Chinese dragon with bird wings! LOL.. erm, it probably sounds funny, but it’s awesome. I could stare at this for hours.

For the same price as Chou-un , the bird is definitely more worth while then the horse that doesn't do much. Alot of weapons, I like the fact that he has 2 swords and it comes with a stand for many effects.

Sou-Hi is the final piece to Emperor SouSou , the golden piece on the chest can be detached and attached to the crown , add onto sousou's helmet.

His sword can be put on either side of his skirt armour. The three arrows can be stored on his backpack. Phew.. thats alot gimmick for a little guy.

Shiba-i is mostly white with alittle hint of red and gold , but has a very plain color scheme. I don't like his "scholar mode" mode which makes his arms look skinny , but his battle mode is pretty awesome , has a powerful look to it.

Easy to paint , gold ,red and white on the body and amour. Some pink , silver , red and gold on the helmet. Silver , grey , gold and pink for the weapon. It may seem plenty to do , but he will still look very boring. Alot of panel lining work to make him look good.

I give shiba-i two stars. I dont really like one of his modes , but overall he is a rather good looking model. Contradicting i know lol.

Helmet , armour and weapons are interchangable with other sangokuden model kits. Sword can fold to form a fan or axe(which ever you think it is). Helmet mask can close and open to cover his face. Shoulder shields , skirt armour , back pieces , 1 of the mask pieces(lower) and folded sword can merge to form a huge flying sword.

Mostly creamy white with gold , silver ,black , red and light blue. A very "knight" looking sangokuden.

Quite alot to paint , must watch out for the transparent parts. You don't want to mess those up , lol. The only part i hate about painting this kit is the mask. The black part always messes up.

I give it 3 stars! Sonken is a very fun to play kit! LOL.. yeah. I would like to think of him in his full armour as defense mode and his flying sword form as offense mode. Pretty interesting.

Armour is interchangable with other sangokuden model kits , blades can be packed onto backpack. Blades can be add onto spear to form another spear.

Mostly red with a little gold and silver. His left and right are not proportionate , with makes him look interesting. Left shoulder arm spots a shield , left foot has a ring. Right shoulder armour is pointed with a nice dragon desgin. Right hand has a spiked ring.

Chou-hi is not hard to paint , only the dragon on the armour may be alittle troublesome.

Kan-U has simple gimmicks , his amour is interchangable with other sangokuden models , the demon mask on his helmet can be placed to a lower position on the helmet to cover his eyes. His weapon.. well.. its just huge.

Kan-U is overall green with alittle hint of red and gold , doesn't really resemble his counterpart Gundam ZZ. His beard and color is very much like the anicent chinese hero Guan Yu.

Kan-U easy to paint , you only need two colors , red and gold.

Although many newer and cooler models have appeared , Kan-u is still one of my favoriates for his beard and horned helmet command respect. His huge weapon is definately a symbol of power. A very neat model indeed, its a pity theres nothing much to the gimmicks , therefore Kan-U only gets two stars.

Ryuubi being the very first SD Sangokuden model , you can't expect too much out of him. He comes with , a red sword , blue sword ,golden sword , face mask , full body amour.

Ryuubi has "wings" on this backpack which you can flip up. His amour and face mask are interchangable with other sangokuden models. Backpack stores two swords. Nothing spectacular.

Although his gimmicks and accessories are nothing to brag about , he still look
heroic and very worthy of Gundam RX78-2. I would say a "handsome looking" model kit.
Mostly white with blue amour , pretty much RX78-2 colors , except for the yellow which is replaced by gold.

Painting Ryuubi isnt very difficult , the only problem you might have is with the red and blue swords. The golden parts to be painted are so tiny , easy to make mistakes.

I would give Ryuubi only 2 stars , for his simple gimmicks. If you like sword wielding heroes , he is definately the one for you.
