Bashoku has a unique head structure which allows him to change his eyes by pushing the dragon on his head(either up or down). The blade of his giant sword can be removed to reveal a thinner more streamline one.

Bashoku is very ninja like with weapons such as a dagger and kunai, it’s a nice looking model kit.

Easy to paint if you follow the box art , mostly blue and gold.

Very unique gimmick on the head and is actually pretty fun to play with. Bashoku is definitely one of those “Must Get” Gaiden kits. He doesn’t have much armor though , but he has lots of weapons to make up for it.

BB Senshi Sangokuden Gaiden Batai Gundam Review

Blue and gold combination! Very cool looking for a small fella.

Easy to paint if you follow the box art , all you need is gold(weapons and armor) and gray(for the fist). He is supposed to be all blue and gold , unlike mine. I added some silver , metallic red , metallic black(hammer head) , brown(hammer) and pink for the beam saber.

Gimmick wise , this kit is pretty lousy. But to make up for it , it has lots of weapons. Comes with 3 different eye stickers. Overall , he is a pretty cool looking kit.

Armor pieces together with weapons can form a cannon. With the extra accessories another type of cannon can be formed. They even included wheels for the bird cannon so that it could roll? Lol. The helmet has a clear visor which can be pulled down to protect or cover the eyes of the Gundam. Swords and cannon can also merge to form a crossbow.

A really good looking model kit I must add. The body itself is very detailed! The helmet is kind of huge but it still looks cool.

Painting.. well , it isn’t difficult , but a lot of work has to be done to achieve box art accuracy. The most difficult part to paint is the “II” on the head! Because it is so tiny. I tried hand painting the “II” and it screwed up. Ended up using oil based markers (Black and Gold). I’m pretty disappointed that it isn’t perfect , but I gave up! LOL. One thing though , I hate to paint fist and hands of model kits , but I still did it for a more complete look.

The thing about Sengokuden kits is that they always include extra parts for you to convert the kit to its old school look. For me , extra accessories are always a bonus!This one is definitely worth pick up.

The mask on the helmet could cover Sonsaku’s eyes for some final attack mode. Shoulder shield together with part of the hammer becomes a pair of Tonfas. Hammer can be split into 3 parts for storage , on the shoulder shields and backpack.

Very nice looking kit , but mostly white if not painted.

Painting is a pain for this kit , especially the red parts. The sword itself could take you days for a box art accurate look. Panel lining isn’t too bad though.

Overall I liked how this kit turned out after all the painting and stuff. Its gimmicks are not too fantastic but still good. The tiger on the shoulder shields are very detailed!

The spear’s lower part can be separated , changing the spear to a broad sword. The broad sword’s blade hides a beam saber! Holy..!! Hidden weapons are becoming a trend with Sangokuden Gaiden kits , haha.

Sword can become some sort of whip with the add on parts, which is pretty nice. Sword also merges with part of the shoulder armor to form a hammer ball thing.

Looks like a lion! I really like how he looked; the lion mask gave him a very masculine look.

The naked mode is pretty ugly, with a big E.T looking head, a protruding erm.. part (-.-) at the groin and weird looking hands. His armored up mode is one to die for. Although he is a “Sangokuden Gaiden” With all those armor he stands just as tall as any regular Sangokuden model kit! If you’re gona get picky with Sangokuden Gaiden, pick this monster up. =)

BB Senshi Sangokuden Kyou-i F91 Review

Spy mode :

The helmet has different forms for each mode. In this mode , Kyou-I can either be a Gundam or dons the Zaku mask to be…. Uh a Zaku. His main weapon is the spear. Spearhead can be unattached to become a Sai(dagger). In this mode he wears the shield and shoulder armor on his shoulders.

Gundam mode

In this mode , he wears the chest armor , helmet puts on the “V-fins” , carries the backpack with his 2 axes. Shield on hand. Doesn’t wear any shoulder armor. The axe can be either stored on the backpack when not in use. Axes can also become flaming swords. When attached to the backpack the axes can become flamethrowers.

Weapons and armor

Weapons and armor can also merge to form some sort of small dragon.

Fantastic mode kit! I really like flame effect parts. The Zaku mask is a bonus! Very gimmicky and looks mighty awesome. Of course you must get this kit! =)
